ResinFIP COAT 350 EL
Elastic, single-component, film-forming protective system, based on elastic acrylic resin in water emulsion, for the protection of concrete structures.
What it is used for
ResinFIP COAT AC 350 EL has been formulated for the protection of concrete structures, not in permanent contact with water, from the effects of environmental agents and de-icing salts. It can be applied either manually or by spraying and it creates a film-forming coating that forms a barrier against the entry of aggressive substances. ResinFIP COAT AC 350 EL helps achieve a continuous surface, thanks to its ability to bridge cracks, thus blocking the entry of aggressive substances.
ResinFIP COAT AC 350 EL involves the application of the acrylic resin-based primer in water emulsion, ResinFIP PRIMER 352, which regulates the absorption of the substrate and promotes adhesion to the concrete.
ResinFIP COAT AC 350 EL increases the service life of the structure.
The main requirements and performance characteristics that identify ResinFIP COAT AC 351 are:
High impermeability to water, which helps inhibit or slow down the corrosion processes that are the main cause of the deterioration of concrete structures; however, it is not suitable for permanent contact with water;
High impermeability to carbon dioxide, it prevents or blocks concrete carbonation phenomena. Carbonation is the process that causes the corrosion of the reinforcements;
High impermeability to chloride ions, which are particularly aggressive if they come into contact with the reinforcements, corroding them locally to the point of breaking;
High impermeability to chloride ions also deteriorate the cement paste over time;
Good ability to bridge cracks, which is commonly called crack bridging ability and indicates the ability of the protective system to provide a continuous surface even if applied over cracks existing in the concrete substrate at the time of application;
High adhesion to the substrate, which guarantees a long service life;
High resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, which guarantees a long service life of the structure, even in environments subject to frequent thermal cycles;
Resistance to UV rays, in addition to guaranteeing high durability in situ, it allows for the initial colouring to be preserved, an intrinsic characteristic of acrylic protective systems.
